Why do I need these for an improvisors' collective?
It appears that the initial hiccups are over and this session is now under way in earnest. It's been great to see how the compositional momentum from previous sessions is now coming through. When BHIC began the challenge for composers was simply producing a finished piece for the group in time to get it adequately rehearsed. Now that repeat residents know the drill, we've been able to have more time to tweak our compositions and hopefully get a more detailed and fully realized sound. For what I've heard so far, I'm confident that this session will continue our progression to higher levels of sophistication from each successive residency.

I also want to congratulate Russell Thorpe and the other members of Phonologtronic on a great performance last Friday. You missed out if you weren't there.
