Fun with Gongs

The first rehearsal has been a great success! Pat Conway explained how the gamelan works and even taught us a simple piece of music. After that we ran through a couple of sketches of of new music by Russell and myself. Everyone seemed to have fun with the gongs, nipples, and little hammers that make up the gamelan. As fun as that was, I can't wait to hear everyone play their chosen instruments this coming Sunday.
